I don't know if you have heard about this or not but it worked really well for me.
I needed to give the message of Jesus dying on the Cross to my childrens church group. They had seen the bridge display many times so I thought I would try to do an object lesson this time.
I did a pinata. I know that sounds weird, but I had every child tap the pinata once, then I broke it open and let the children gather up the goodies.
after they had all gotten some I had them put it under their chairs for later
and said you know this Pinata reminds me of Jesus.
Here are some of the analogies I came up with:
1. That just like this pinata Jesus was broken and bruised and that not just the people living at that time are guilty of His broken body, but instead we all are.
2. The candy that poured out reminded me of the love (Jesus' blood) that he poured out for us so that we could be forgiven and be with Him in heaven some day.
3. That I noticed that some of you ran in and grabbed the candy up and some of you stood back and wern't sure what to do. This reminds me that When Salvation through Christ is offered some of us run to him. but others don't necessarily hear the truth and believe it right away So you did the right thing by sharing with those that didn't get there first.
That's what we need to do this Easter is to share with our friends and family why we celebrate Easter.
Hope this helps some one I know it did me. And I just gave you the basics if you have any other questions let me know and I'll get back to you.
God Bless |
