Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Summary of this sermon...

God's Word is like a flashlight, guiding us through life's darkness, showing us where to walk and where not to walk. Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God's Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We can trust God's instructions to lead us, and pray for help to learn and follow His Word, using it as a lamp to guide our path.

The flashlight helps me to see where I am walking. It not only shows me where to put my feet, but it also shows me where not to put my feet.

(Recite Psalm 119:105.) Does anyone know what this verse means to us as Christians? God’s Word gives us instructions and shows us where to walk and where not to walk; just like the flashlight does for me in the dark. His Word guides us in the dark world.

Lord, thank you for your Word. Please help me to learn Your Word and to use it always as a lamp to guide my path. In Jesus' name, Amen.
