Just as the wise men watched for the star announcing Jesus' birth, we watch and wait for his return.
Object:
A Christmas star such as one that would go on the top of a Christmas tree.
Scripture:
Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. Mark 13:33 (NIV)
Christmas is coming! Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus' birthday. We see pretty lights and stars everywhere. Stars are special at Christmas time.
Do you see stars in the sky at night? Stars twinkle and shine! A long, long time ago, some wise men saw a very special star. This star was big and bright!
The wise men said, "Look! A special star! Let's follow it!" So they walked and walked, following the bright star. The star showed them where to go. Where did the star take them? The star took them to baby Jesus!
