Give each child a ball of clay. Hold it in your hands!
Look! I have clay! You can make things with clay. Someone who makes things with clay is called a potter. Today you are potters!
Let's make shapes! Make a ball with your clay. Roll, roll, roll! (Show them how to roll.) Good job! Now make it flat like a pancake. Pat, pat, pat! (Show them how to pat it flat.) Great! Now make a snake. Roll it long like this! (Demonstrate rolling a snake.) Wiggle your clay snake! Fun!

God has a special book called the Bible. In the Bible, a man named Isaiah talked to God. Isaiah said the people forgot about God. Their hearts got hard like old clay. That made God sad.
But Isaiah knew something special! He said "God, You are like a potter. We are like clay. You can make us good again!" God loves us so much! Even when we make bad choices, God can help us be good. (Help kids make their clay into heart shapes.)
Look at your clay heart! God loves your heart! Sometimes we make bad choices. Sometimes we don't listen to Mommy or Daddy. But God can help us be good! God is the potter. We are the clay! He makes us good!
Hold your clay heart. Let's talk to God! (Pause.)
Dear God, we love You! Help us be good. Make our hearts happy. We love Jesus! Amen.
