Object:
A tub of water and a variety of objects, some that will float in water and some that will sink.
Scripture:
Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water. "He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" Matthew 14:28-31 [NASB]

Then they saw Jesus! Jesus was walking ON the water! Walking on top like it was the ground! Amazing!
Peter was one of Jesus' friends. Peter said, "Jesus, can I walk on water too?" Jesus said, "Come on!"
So Peter stepped out of the boat. Step, step, step! He was walking on the water! Just like Jesus!
But then Peter looked at the big waves. He got scared. And he started to sink down! "Help me, Jesus!" he called.
Jesus reached out and caught Peter! Jesus saved him!
When Peter looked at Jesus, he could walk on water! When Peter looked away from Jesus, he started to sink!
We can look at Jesus too! When we look at Jesus and trust Him, He helps us! Jesus loves us so much!
Dear Jesus, help us look at You. Help us trust You. We love You! Amen.
