A bundle of small sticks which alone could be easily broken, but when bundled with other sticks is too strong to be broken.
Scripture:
I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one. John 17:11 (NIV)
Who wants to help me? You look strong! Can you break this stick? (Give child one small stick.) Wow! You broke it! You are so strong!
Now try to break all these sticks together. (Give them bundle of sticks tied together.) It's too hard, isn't it? The sticks are stronger when they're together!
The sticks are like us! When we're by ourselves, we might feel weak. But when we're together with our church friends, we're strong! Strong like these sticks!

Jesus knew his friends needed to stay together. So Jesus prayed to God. He said, "God, please help my friends stay together. Help them be strong together, just like you and me are together."
When you feel scared or sad, remember the sticks! Remember your church friends! Together we are strong! Together we love Jesus!
Let's pray: Dear God, thank you for our church friends. Help us stay together and be strong together. We love you, Jesus. Amen.
