Streamers of red, orange, and yellow crepe paper to represent fire.
Scripture:
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:1-4 (NIV)
Today we celebrate Pentecost! Pentecost is a very special day. Jesus went to heaven, but he sent us a helper. The helper is called the Holy Spirit!
Jesus' friends were all together in a room. They were waiting for Jesus' special helper. Suddenly, they heard a big WHOOSH sound! It was like the wind going WHOOSH! Can you make a whoosh sound? WHOOSH!
Then they saw something that looked like fire! The fire came down and sat on their heads. But it didn't hurt them! It was God's special fire. Can you point to your head? The fire sat right there!

Let's celebrate! I have red, orange, and yellow streamers for you. These colors look like fire! Red like fire! Orange like fire! Yellow like fire! Let's wave them up high and sing about the Holy Spirit in our hearts!
Let's pray: Dear God, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Thank you that the Holy Spirit lives in our hearts. Thank you that the Holy Spirit loves us. Amen.
