Do you help Mommy and Daddy at home? Yes! Today I have a story about two boys and their daddy.
Daddy said to John, "Please pick up the leaves in our yard."
John said, "No, I don't want to." But then John thought, "I should help Daddy." So John went outside and picked up all the leaves! Good job, John!
Daddy said to William, "Please pick up the leaves in our yard."
William said, "Yes, I will help!" But then William sat down and watched TV. He did not pick up the leaves. Oh no!

Preschool object lessons are designed for 2-4 year olds. They provide a simplified version with shorter sentences, more repetition, basic vocabulary, and extra fun examples to engage littles.but then he helped. William said yes, but then he did not help.
Jesus told a story just like this! Jesus wants us to be helpers. When Jesus says "Love your friends," we should love our friends! When Jesus says "Be kind," we should be kind! When Jesus says "Share your toys," we should share our toys!
It's good to say "Yes, I will help!" But it's even better to really help! Let's be good helpers like John!
Dear God, help us be good helpers. Help us love and share and be kind. Thank you, God. Amen.
