Scripture

And out of the ground, the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight. Genesis 2:9 (NAS)

Today I have brought a tree that I intend to plant. Yes, I plan to plant it this next week. The last Friday of April is Arbor day. Arbor day was set aside to plant and care for trees. I must say I love trees. Have you looked at all the different shades of green displayed in the trees?

There are a lot of benefits from trees. They are home to squirrels, birds, and possibly a raccoon. The beauty trees display is awesome. Did you know that our trees produce the oxygen that we breathe.

Best of all, our Lord God made them. (Read Genesis 2:9) And out of the ground, the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight.

I have a poem I want to read to you. Many high school student have memorized this poem which was written by Joyce Kilmer.

Trees I think that I shall never see A poem as lovely as a tree A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth's sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks to God all day, and lifts her leafy arms to pray: A tree that may in summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me. but only God can make a tree.

Prayer: I thank our Lord God for all the beautiful things He made for us to enjoy. The sky, the birds, the trees and all you boys and girls. God love you. Amen
