"Mama Will Hold Me Tonight"
This day 10 years ago was a sad day for our country. On that day, some very bad guys attacked our country by crashing planes into two buildings in New York City called the World Trade Center. They crashed a third plane into a building in Washington, DC called the Pentagon.
There was fourth plane that they tried to crash into a building, but the passengers overtook the bad guys on that plane. Unfortunately, though, it crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. However, the passengers’ heroic actions kept the plane from hurting others.
There were many lives lost that day.
Since then, our country has put some very tough things in place to keep attacks like those from ever happening again.
I brought a video today that honors all of those that lost their lives that day, especially the ones that gave their lives to help save others: firefighters, medical responders, police and the passengers on that fourth plane. I hope it touches your heart.

Dear Jesus, we pause today to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001 and to pray for the families of those who died. We also pause to remember Your death on the cross which gives us life.
