Habakkuk 3:17-19 (ESV) 17 Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. 19 God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places.
Good morning, friends. Throughout the Revive sermon series, we’ll be looking at how, through Jesus Christ, we can overcome life’s struggles that often make us feel frustrated and hopeless. In particular, we’ll look at how Jesus Christ enables us to be victorious over death, suffering, self-doubt, fear, anxiety, and the uncertainty of our future. If life has got you down, then join us every week and get revived! Adapted from “God’s Purpose for My Problems” by Rick Warren
Today I want share with you how we could get out of Unbelief; there are three types of Faith. 1. “ IF YOU WILL” FAITH, 2. “ BECAUSE OF” FAITH 3. “ EVEN THOUGH” FAITH.
Let’s talk about “ IF YOU WILL” FAITH . This faith is conditional. It is based upon God submitting to my will and meeting me on my terms. There is a Problem – What if God will not bow to my terms?
Second kind of faith is “ BECAUSE OF” FAITH . This faith is reactive. It is based upon recognizing the activity of God. There is a Problem – What if I fail to see what God has done?
Answered Prayer
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve, I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health, that I might do greater things, I was given infirmity, that I might do better things. I asked for riches, that I might be happy, I was given poverty, that I might be wise. I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men, I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life, I was given life, that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for–but everything I had hoped for; Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am among all men most richly blessed.

The third kind of faith is “EVEN THOUGH” FAITH . This faith is unconditional and independent of God’s action. “Even though” faith believes deep in the core of my being that God’s will is the best thing that could happen to me under any circumstances. “Even though” faith trusts that God’s intentions towards me are deeply good no matter what happens.
I Believe…
I believe in the sun even when it’s not shining. I believe in love even when I don’t feel it. I believe in God even when he’s silent.
These words were found scrawled on a cellar wall where Jews had hidden during World War II in Cologne, Germany.
Here is the CENTRAL TRUTH: The righteous live by “even though” faith.
Let’s pray Lord, help me to live by “even though” faith in my life so that I may trust in you despite of my unbelief in my heart. I pray all this in your precious name of Jesus Christ.
