ASK, SEEK, KNOCK STATIONS:

Set up three stations labeled "Ask," "Seek," and "Knock."

  • Ask: Create a prayer station where children can write or draw their prayers and put them in a "prayer box."
  • Seek: Have a treasure hunt activity where children must find hidden items that represent blessings.
  • Knock: Set up a door with various locks and keys. Children will work together to find the right keys to "open" the door to reveal a message about God’s love.

PRAYER PUZZLE CRAFT:

  • Children will decorate puzzle pieces that, when assembled, form an image representing prayer and God's promise. Write parts of the verse on each piece. When completed, discuss how each part is vital for a complete understanding.

BLESSING BOXES:

  • Provide small boxes for each child to decorate. Inside, they can place pieces of paper on which they have written or drawn things they are thankful for. Explain how God blesses those who ask and seek Him.

KNOCK KNOCK GAME:

  • Play a game similar to "Duck, Duck, Goose" but call it "Knock, Knock, Answer." When called "Answer," the child must share one way they can seek God in their everyday life.

SCRIPTURE SCAVENGER HUNT:

  • Hide words or symbols that relate to Matthew 7:7-11 around the room. Have the children find them and work together to organize them in the correct order on a board or large piece of paper.

ACTS OF KINDNESS POSTER:

  • Create a large poster titled "Ways to Ask, Seek, and Knock." Children can draw or write acts of kindness and ways they can ask for God’s help or seek His guidance in their lives.

PRAYER JOURNEY:

  • Set up a path with stations where children can stop and pray for various things, like family, friends, and personal needs. At each station, they can add a sticker to a prayer passport booklet.

THE GIFT BOX:

  • Use wrapped boxes to represent gifts from God. Inside each box, place items or messages about God's promises and love. Children take turns opening a box and sharing what they find.

KEYS TO THE KINGDOM CRAFT:

  • Provide cardboard keys for children to decorate. Encourage them to write "Ask," "Seek," or "Knock" on the keys to remind them that these are ways to connect with God.

SCRIPTURE SONG:

  • Teach the children a simple song based on the verse. Use musical instruments like tambourines or shakers for a fun interactive experience.
