Go and Make Disciples

Use this animated video to teach kids about The Great Commission.  “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Join Major General John and the Sunday School teacher as the two debate their understanding of the great commission in front of their class. Kids will learn that Jesus tells his disciples to share the good news about him where they are (and they can spread out on other nations when they are older). Kids should think of someone—a friend, neighbor, or classmate—who might need to know about Jesus and ask God to give them a chance to tell that person about Jesus.
