Children's Ministry Christmas Play from Sermons4Kids

Welcome to Calamity Falls State Park, a Christmas play where Christmas memories are made—and sometimes hilariously mis-made! With Trail Guide Tom, our well-meaning but delightfully scatterbrained park ranger, you’ll journey through a festive adventure that helps everyone remember the true story of Christmas.

This no-rehearsal play is designed for maximum fun with minimal prep. Everything you need is right here to host an engaging, laughter-filled experience for kids and families—whether you have 5 participants or 50. Only two adults are needed for the main speaking roles, while kids of all ages can jump in as characters, helpers, or enthusiastic audience participants.

Set aside about 30 minutes to read through the script and plan your “stage”—any space large enough for the kids you want to involve will work. If you have children with speaking parts, a quick run-through is all that’s required. To make the experience even more special, we’ve included simple cutout costume pieces kids can decorate, perfect for turning this into a fun family craft moment before the play begins.

You can also serve refreshments following the play to encourage fellowship and fun.

Get ready for a low-stress, high-energy celebration of the Christmas story—one that welcomes everyone to join in the joy of the season!
