Sermon Title: "Show Your Love"

Scripture Reading:1 John 4:9-11, 21 (NIV)

Give each child a small jar (from jam or baby food jar, etc). Let them fill it with a little potpourri. Glue a small round piece of pretty cloth over the top and stick a bow on top. Children can tie a small card that they make for their mom's that will say I LOVE YOU Mom, etc.

Let children decorate a bookmark and then place a picture of themselves on the bookmark, if teacher is able to acquire a small pic of child before class. Laminate bookmarker if possible with clear shelving paper and hang by a ribbon.

Let children glue 6 - 10 craft sticks together on a flat service with wax paper underneath, in case glue drips through. Glue a poem or note written by the child (or choices that the teacher can have available), to glue to the craft stick picture. Glue a mini bow to the corner and hang by a ribbon. Allow to dry during class time.

Give each child a large cookie with frosting and sprinkles, etc, for children to decorate to give to mother on a hand colored paper plate with a bow glued to the top of the plate! Children can write a short note to their mother along the edge of the paper plate.

Let children make a foam windsock with ribbons hanging from the bottom with an I LOVE YOU MOM on the windsock, or children can make a TUBE WIND-SOCK out of construction paper and hang long streamers with words or PRAISE about their moms on the streamers.

Teacher can give each child a very small pillow for children to draw and decorate a little banner that can be attached to the pillow and given to MOM for Mother's Day. The banner can have words of praise for Mother on it and WORLD'S BEST MOM, etc.

Give each child a couple of little sachets or soaps that children can wrap with paper the teacher provides. Children can write a little card with I LOVE YOU MOM, or WORLD'S BEST MOM, etc and attach to the little wrapped gift.

Let each child plant a flower or 2 in a mini vase and attach a little I LOVE YOU MOM note to the vase. Glue a little ribbon to the vase for extra beauty.

Let each child make a little construction paper basket and decorate with stickers, words, etc. Let childen put some little "hershey kisses", or other small candies in the basket for Mom!
