Jesus is a real Super Hero who showed His divine power on the Mount of Transfiguration, unlike fictional superheroes like Superman and Batman. On Transfiguration Sunday, we celebrate Jesus' transformation, revealing His true nature as the King of Kings. Mark 9:2-9 reminds us that Jesus is a Real Super Hero with real powers, watching out for us and deserving of our trust and worship.When we think of a Super Hero we often think of Super Man, Bat Man or Spider Man. They all look very normal but each of them can change into a super hero with super powers. Oh, you know I just thought of another super hero. Can you guess who it is? It's Jesus! You see Jesus also looked very normal, in fact that is why many people didn't believe he was a King. But one day on a mountain top he changed. He appeared as a real super hero. You know Super Man and Bat Man are make believe with make believe powers. But Jesus is Real with Real powers! And it's nice to know that we have a Real Super Hero watching out for us.
